4th Meeting of Network of Medical Councils of SEAR in INDONESIA

Fourth Meeting of the Network of Medical Councils of SEA Region is scheduled to be held from 30th November to 2nd December, 2010 in Bandung, Indonesia.

Objectives for the meeting are

General Objectives :
1.    To further strengthen the functions of Medical Councils in Countries of South East Asia Region in response to emerging challenges.

Specific Objectives :
1)    To review and discuss the contents, dissemination and use of
   a)    Licensing Examination Practices in SEAR Countries
   b)    Integration of Patient Safety in UG medical curriculum
   c)    Teaching Communication Skills for Undergraduate Medical Training
   d)    Regional Guidelines for Internship.

2)    To review the progress of SEAR’s Medical Councils network.
3)    To examine the appropriateness of the constitution of Medical Councils Network.
4)    To identify a set of priority activities to be carried out by the Medical Councils of Network during 2011-2012.

1.    Inauguration
2.    New initiatives of Medical Councils of the SEAR- Country presentations.
3.    Presentation and discussion on “Licensing Examination Practices in SEAR Countries”.
4.    Presentation and discussion on “Integration of Patient Safety in UG medical curriculum”.
5.    Presentation and discussion on “Teaching Communication Skills for Undergraduate Medical Training”.
6.    Presentation and discussion on “Regional Guidelines for Internship”.
7.    Review on progress made by Network of Medical Councils during 2009/2010.
8.    Presentation and discussion on “Governance Structure for Network of Medical Councils in WHO South East Asia Region Countries”.
9.    Identification of priority activities to be carried out by the Medical Councils Network Secretariat during the 2011-2012.
