The Medical Councils play an important role in the development and promotion of relevant and quality medical education in their respective countries and thereby help safeguard the health of the population. They are responsible for maintaining standards of medical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Further Councils are also responsible for defining and ensuring to minimum requirements before the physicians are given the license to practice medicine.

Minute of Video Conference
The video conference between Secretariat of the Network of Medical Councils of the WHO South-East Asia Region and Indonesian Medical Council was held on 2nd September, 2010 at WHO office in Pulchowk.
4th Meeting of Network of Medical Councils of SEAR in INDONESIA

General Objective

The establishment of the network of Medical Councils is proposed with the objective of enhancing collaboration with Medical Councils of South East Asia Member countries to improve and sustain the quality and relevance of medical councils to address the increasing challenges for professional standards.
